I have enjoyed a career as an academic and educational leader. Now working as an educational consultant and executive coach, I am passionate about achieving sustainable outcomes that positively impact students and their families, particularly through culture and climate in schools and colleges. As the founder and president of 3 Robins Consulting (3R), I also work closely with School First and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) as a consultant.
Most recently, I served as the Head of School of Proctor Academy from 2021 through 2024. A native of Robbins and Harvey, Illinois, on Chicago’s far south side, I graduated from Yale University with a BA in History and from Portland State University with an MS in Education. I have spent more than thirty years in independent school education.
Prior to Proctor, I was the Assistant Head of School at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School, a Pre-K-12 independent day school in St. Louis, MO, that serves over 1,200 students. Previously, I served as Associate Head of School at Bentley School in Oakland, CA, as Head of School at Presidio Hill School in San Francisco, CA, and at Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas. My early teaching career included roles as English Teacher, English Department Head, Humanities Coordinator, and baseball and basketball coach. Prior to discovering my passion for teaching and working in independent schools, I enjoyed being a professional actor, working off-Broadway and in Hollywood, and it is this love of the arts that has led me to remain engaged on the Board of Trustees at Esperanza Academy in Lawrence, MA and the Center of Creative Arts (COCA) in St. Louis, MO.
With over 30 years of experience spanning independent schools, charter networks, experiential and progressive learning environments, and at the college and university level, I provide and facilitate unparalleled expertise in school leadership, strategic planning, and student-centered innovation. My teams and I have successfully led institutions through major transitions, including post-pandemic recovery, enrollment growth, and cultural alignment to a values-based educational model. Under my leadership, Proctor Academy secured over $11.5M in fundraising, expanded student engagement programs, and implemented forward-thinking mental health and wellness initiatives. As a consultant and executive coach, my understanding of governance, accreditation, and institutional sustainability makes me an invaluable asset to schools worldwide. Whether you need strategic insight, executive coaching, or guidance on faculty development and retention, I’ll provide solutions that drive lasting impact.
